Responsibility

Designing architecture for a sustainable future

As architects and interior designers, we recognise our responsibility to use resources thoughtfully and create spaces that are built for the future. The changing nature of work and evolving societal needs call for a shift in architectural thinking – one that prioritises sustainability and resource efficiency. This means focusing on revitalising and improving existing buildings instead of replacing them with new constructions and using materials in the most efficient and eco-friendly way possible.

Our commitment to climate, resources, and architectural heritage

For us, sustainability isn’t just a passing trend – it’s a guiding principle. We are a proud member of the Verband für Bauen im Bestand, the DGNB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen e.V., and are active supporters of the  Architects for Future movement. Through our partnership with Wilderness International, we help protect 6,400 square meters of temperate rainforest in Canada every year, contributing to the preservation of vital ecosystems. Our mission is to make a lasting impact on climate protection and promote sustainable architecture through every decision we make.

ESG as an Opportunity: Forward-Thinking Planning

We see the integration of ESG criteria not as an obligation but as a powerful opportunity – to rethink architecture and actively shape a built environment that meets the social and ecological challenges of the future.

Environment: We prioritise resource-efficient construction, renovation, and the redevelopment of existing structures, complemented by innovative spatial concepts. Our goal is to minimise the ecological footprint while promoting sustainable development.

Social: Our human-centered design approach reflects our commitment to social responsibility. We create work environments that enhance well-being, support productivity, and actively contribute to the transformation of the workplace.

Governance: Transparency, responsible leadership, and a long-term perspective define our approach. Clear structures and ethical business practices foster trust and ensure the quality and integrity of our projects.

Architecture and Research: Evidence-Based Design

Our motto, “architecture matters,” reflects our commitment to the profound impact of architecture on society. As active partners in research, we support projects that examine the sociocultural, ecological, and economic dimensions of the built environment – delivering scientifically grounded insights to shape more sustainable work and living spaces.
